King Abdullah Scholarship Programme (KASP)

ATU is recognised by the King Abdullah Scholarship Programme (KASP) for all Bachelor Degree courses. 80 students from Saudi Arabia have started four years of study in Galway (a similar intake of students will happen in 2011, 2012 and 2013).  The students initially undertake one year of English language tuition, after which they transfer to a variety of three-year degree courses (level 7).  The students are funded under the King Abdullah Scholarship Programme.  This arrangement is governed by an agreement reached between ATU, WIT and AIT and the Technical Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC) of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC)

Staff of the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC) of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are encouraged by their colleges to apply for admission to a special programme offered by ATU

The programme lasts 3 years and incorporates two elements: a year of intensive English studies followed by a minimum of 2 years study leading to an Honours Bachelor degree in their discipline.

Over 40 TVTC staff are currently on the programme.
