Applied Robotics 1
Description
This module will provide students with knowledge of robotic automation systems, including the use of vision systems in robotic applications. Students will program a cell using the teach-pendant. A 3D modelling software will be used for programming, optimising and virtual commissioning of robotic cells. Finally, the module will cover safety considerations when the automation of a manual operation is proposed.
Learning Outcomes
Use a teach pendant and simulation software to operate, programme, optimise and commission a robotic cell.
Describe the advantages of vision systems for robotic industrial applications.
Discuss the different types of industrial robots configurations, their safety features, and their industrial use.
Operate a robotic arm respecting safety guidelines.
