Forensics and Analytical Quality Management

This module provides knowledge and skills of quality management which can be applied to forensic laboratories and also to the pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical and medical device industry laboratories.

1. Understand the role and function of quality within the laboratory and industry.

2. Outline the role and function of Quality Assurance, GMP and Quality Control within the laboratory and industry.

3. Identify the agencies which regulate quality standards.

4. Explain the role of ISO 17025 in an analytical laboratory.

5. Design SOPs using laboratory standards and regulatory guidelines.

6. Describe the responsibilities of the employee and employer with regard to health and safety in the laboratory and industry.
