To introduce the learner to the fundamentals of information technology and it's application.

1. Describe the use and role of Information Technology in society.

2. Identify the different types of hardware and and explain how they can be used.

3. Differentiate between software applications and their appropriate use.

4. Use various communication and collaboration tools.

5. Create an appropriately formatted document, spreadsheet and presentation using a designated office automation tool.
