To highlight regional and geographic trends and developments in the sector and to assess the potential future influences.

Review the volume and trends of global tourism and the factors that influence current patterns.
Evaluate the organisations and agencies that are involved in tourism at an international and global level
Assess the factors that influence tourism development both controllable and uncontrollable.
Research tourism and its impact on various world geographic regions.
Analyse economic, social, environmental and climatic issues pertaining to international tourism
