Mechanics and Thermodynamics

Description

Thermodynamics is the branch of physics that deals with heat, work, and temperature, and their relation to energy, entropy, and the physical properties of matter and radiation. Mechanics is the branch of physics that deals with the motion of physical objects. The content of this module builds on aspects of mechanics and thermodynamics that have been introduced in previous modules.

Learning Outcomes

  1. Demonstrate a conceptual and theoretical understanding of aspects of mechanics.

  2. Demonstrate capability of problem solving in mechanics problems.

  3. Demonstrate a conceptual and theoretical understanding of aspects of thermodynamics.
