Amy Fahy is a researcher with GMIT and is currently completing a Research Fellowship in the area of connected health. Amy comes from a background in food science and health and has particular interest in the areas of biology, healthcare, nutrition and digitalisation.
Her present work is looking at the world of connected health to determine the extent to which users are engaging with digital health tools and apps and how this influences their health behaviours as well as integration with clinical care. Amy has studied in the University of Limerick and University College Cork and has published an abstract entitled “Dietary determinants of iron intake in women of child-bearing age (WCBA) (18–50y) in Ireland” in the Proceedings of The Nutrition Society.
